Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse offer a new cradle and interpretation of the great movements and transformations of the last century: Communism, Nazism, capitalism, and individualism. "The Hidden Essence of the Demigods". The play is divided into two one-act parts. It narrates the meeting of Leon and Fyodor in their youth, sharing dreams, anxieties, and ambitions. Sixty years later, their widows (great ladies of the theater between 70 and 80 years old) meet again in the same hotel room. And they clarify, in a tragicomedy, that the essence of creation was also within them. In 2021, the bicentennial of Fyodor Dostoevsky was celebrated, and in 2028, that of Leo Tolstoy. In short, we live in the so-called golden decade of literature, where writers are universal and transcend nationality. There are four performers, a cry for feminism, and a response to ageism.
“The Sublime Clash of the Demigods”: A dazzling spectacle. On one side of the stage, Leonardo da Vinci paints the Mona Lisa, and on the other, Michelangelo sculpts David. Thus, we discover the identities of both models, who the Mona Lisa was, and what David's body was. This LGBTQI+ text is, therefore, timely for today and always. The central theme is the creativity, loves, and secrets of these two geniuses who hated each other. In an intense plot full of confrontations, twists, and revelations, the text is based on the research conducted by the author at the Medieval Library of the University of Bologna. Seven performers.
